How will we help people in Ukraine?

We are raising funds to develop a VR Hypnotherapy app and to buy at least 100 VR headsets to distribute to hospitals and schools in Ukraine to help people in Ukraine and displaced Ukrainians with their mental health.

The war in Ukraine is far from over. The impact goes beyond damaged buildings. This war is probably the biggest cause of trauma in recent history, and one of our biggest battles is still to come. That’s caring for the mental health of Ukrainians living in a warzone. Children have had to flee their homes and separate from their families just to reach safety. Men and women have had to fight for their country, seeing unthinkable atrocities every day. Can you imagine the trauma?

We’ve spoken with friends and acquaintances in Ukraine and Ukrainians living abroad. There’s far more than just trauma in their eyes, voices, and stories: It’s PTSD, anxiety, insomnia, unimaginable stress, and the immense uncertainty they face about their futures.

The people trapped and displaced by the war need hope for the future. Helping them with their mental health is a huge step forward, and that’s what this campaign is for.

The Reset Mind is a free VR hypnotherapy app that uses Meta/Oculus Virtual Reality headsets to create an immersive experience. We use principles of neuroscience with healing sounds and frequencies and mesmerising visuals. These help people disassociate from the horrors and misery of war. It allows their minds to reset, revive and thrive on building new lives with a positive, healthy mindset.

We’re working with a team of experienced hypnotherapists to create a range of hypnosis sessions. A Ukrainian linguist and English teacher who’s worked with hypnotherapy coach, Ali Campbell, will translate the sessions into Ukrainian, with compelling audio which is vital for hypnotherapy sessions, to ensure a perfect audio experience.

Once we’ve developed the app, we will offer the hypnotherapy app for free to Ukrainian hospitals, schools, and community centres. That way, we can help thousands of people. They’ll be able to select the issues they want to work on, such as trauma, PTSD, stress, anxiety, and insomnia. We’ll also be offering positive reinforcement sessions to provide hope and optimism.

App users will be able to customise the sound and visuals of their sessions. After their sessions, they can download a free audio copy to their smartphones if they need to listen to it again to reinforce it.

Med will personally deliver the VR headsets to Ukraine with the app preinstalled. By working with medical professionals, teachers, and community outreach organisations, we can help many people. That includes children and the men and women fighting for their country in terrifying daily situations.

They will also receive basic hypnotherapy training from Med to help their friends, families, and colleagues. He will also be documenting his time in Ukraine so you can see the real-life impact of your support.
