Glen's Cancer Fund
Donation protected
In early 2018 Glen was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer of the head and neck. The primary tumor in his mouth had spread to the lymph node in his neck and resulted in a 6cm tumor. His treatment plan includes 35 radiation treatments and 3 chemotherapy sessions. The side effects of the treatment have made it very difficult for him to speak and he isn’t able to eat anything by mouth. This has forced him to have a feeding tube placed in his stomach for nutrition.
Glen has been fighting his cancer with everything he has, but the daily radiation treatments, chemo sessions, PT visits, speech therapy visits, nutrition follow-ups and countless other appointments resulted in him being put on unpaid medical leave from work. He is still supporting his son who lives with him at home, and the general strain the cancer and the treatment is having on him physically, emotionally and financially means he is in need of help. Unfortunately, there are not many financial assistance programs available for cancer patients.
That's where you come in. Friends, family, total strangers, whoever you are, Glen needs your help. Food, electricity, heat, insurance, and gas for getting to all of his appointments are just a few of the things that Glen is struggling to pay for while he cannot work. Every dollar donated goes directly to helping him cover those daily expenses and take some of the stress off his shoulders during this very stressful time and allows him to focus on his recovery.
Thank you so much for anything you can give, you're really helping a good man and father who has been put in a bad position. Your gift is so greatly appreciated.
