Help Me Become a British Citizen

I'm Abigail Carey. In 2016, my pup and I left family, friends, and a business behind in Portland, Oregon to move across the world for love. Lucky for me, it worked out better than I ever imagined.

I've now got Indefinite Leave to Remain and, given the mess the conservatives are making of our new country, I'd like to be able to vote! To do this, I must be a citizen of the United Kingdom, which costs £1,330. While this is the lowest fee I've had so far, the current economic situation is not allowing me to save the money to pay it! All told, we've spent around £12,000 to get this far in the last 6 years.

Several people have encouraged me to start this funding project and, as strange as it feels, I am desperate to be able to vote and have my say in our government.

Even if I don't reach my goal, which is the application fee plus some extra to cover GoFundMe's fees, anything contributed will help! Any extra money raised will be put toward renouncing my American citizenship (ask me about taxes!).
