Kicking Leukemia's A$$
Donation protected
In early May, Jeff went through a series of tests for extreme fatigue that was not improving. Shortly after he was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). AML is a cancer of the blood and bone marrow. Within a few days of receiving the diagnosis, Jeff was admitted to the hospital for treatment for 4 weeks. It is currently unclear whether he will for sure be needing a bone marrow transplant but doctors are monitoring him while Jeff recieves a continuous chemotherapy drip.
Should Jeff need a bone marrow transplant, he will need to be shifted to a hospital within his insurance network as this hospital is not covered. Jeff will be unable to work for a minimum of 4 weeks, more than likely he will be unable to work through the summer. We are hoping to take some of the financial stress (medical and monthly bills) off of Jeff and Deb so they can focus on getting him healthy and home as soon as possible!
