Future Olympic Hopefuls

San Bernardino we need your help to help us continue making history! We are embarking on something very special. We have 5 NATIONAL CHAMPIONS coming out the Project Fighting Chance F.I.G.H.T.S. Boxing program in San Bernardino. These kids take the SBSTRONG movement all over the nation. We now need SB to give us some strong support. Please help these young men get to their last two National tournaments. We have to get to Columbus Ohio in October and Lake Charles Louisiana December. We are fundraising for Isiah, Kenny, Terry, Lolo and Ruffin.  These young men have committed to rigorous training and coaching and have emerged as NATIONAL CHAMPIONS.  

The difference that this program has made in the lives of these five young men is significant.  When asked about his best moment in boxing Ruffin, age 12, says "it was at school when they announced over the intercom to the whole school that he had won the national championship in Salt Lake City last year". 

All four have high national rankings and have been profiled in a PBS documentary called "Hopefuls":  PBS Hopefuls (Project Fighting Chance) 

These young men are HEROES in the Inland Empire.  They have been recognized by their schools, news publications, by local government and even on PBS.  Their success is nothing short of amazing.

They are shining examples to many other young people in the Inland Empire.

We need to raise $10,000 in the next 45 days so that these athletes can compete at the highest level of their sport - the Nationals.  Your contribution will help with entry fees, flights, hotels and meals for the tournaments.

Project Fighting Chance is a Youth Mentoring Life Skills Program seeking to radically alter the trajectory of children's lives by providing positive life lessons through: athletics, healthy eating, vocational training, education, aggression diversion and social emotional learning skills.  

It was established as a vehicle to drive youth away from anti-social behavior and violence and into the organized sport of amateur boxing.    

Since 1999, Project Fighting Chance has assisted, trained and mentored approximately 5,000 low income youth between the ages of 8-17.  See the website: https://www.projectfightingchance.org
