Information about Kibbutz Holit and why they need your help:

I created this GoFundMe on behalf of the survivors of Kibbutz Holit קיבוץ חולית, a peaceful agricultural community on the border of Gaza that was devastated by Hamas terrorists on October 7th. There are about 200 people living on Kibbutz Holit, and they murdered 15 of them.

"I don't think I can go back......I don't know if we will ever be ok again,” shared Gerida Klajman who survived with her family by hiding on their rooftop in silence for over 9 hours, waiting for the army to come save them. While they waited in terror, their friends were ruthlessly murdered, houses were burned, cars were smashed, and God knows what other destruction was done.

Unimaginable tragedies are occurring all over the state of Israel. This particular community is dear to my heart because I lived there in 2010 with a group of international Lone Soldiers who didn’t have family in Israel. The residents of Holit welcomed us with open arms and took care of us like family. We are devastated that this horrific nightmare has scarred them forever.

As I write this, the death count of Israelis has reached 1300 people, including 140 children. There are over 2,000 people injured, and more than 200 hostages (babies, children, adults, and the elderly) are being held in Gaza. The vast majority of those murdered and kidnapped are civilians. For example, 260 young people partying at a music festival in the desert were slaughtered in cold blood. Hamas has one goal: to murder as many Jews as possible. They are not interested in peace.

Donations are needed to rebuild the Kibbutz (half of it was burned, including homes and farming equipment, even hay bales for the animals) and provide financial assistance to the residents who now need to rebuild their lives in every way.

Thank you for your generosity as we try to help from afar.
