Help a veteran in need!!

I’m fundraising to help someone who fought for our Country that now needs our help.  I responded to an animal complaint at a local grocery store on Monday night and interview  an individual who we can refer to as Doug. He explained he witnessed a male repeatedly punch his dog inside his car, and when he started to do it again Doug confronted the man. The man got in his car and drove away and Doug took down the license plate number, then contacted us. Doug was very upset that the dog was treated this way. While interviewing Doug I asked for his address and he said he didn’t have one. I said no Doug where do you live? He lsaid I live in my car with my wife I have been here 4 months. He explained how he was a disabled vet and that his wife was disabled as well. He explained he wasn’t getting any help from the Government for housing and when he did get help it was only $290 a month towards rent. With his only income being social security he can’t afford an apartment as they are all so expensive now. He continued to say that once a month when he gets paid they get a motel room for the night to get a hot shower and a good nights sleep. Nobody should ever have to live in the vehicle in a parking lot, especially a veteran . I would like to help Doug and his wife but certainly can’t do it myself. Please consider donating and let’s pay it forward a little bit and get them a month of good sleep or more.
