Who We Are
Hi! We're Kristi and Gina, pictured above left to right, and we have been giddily and deliriously in love since early 2017 when Gina, as she loves to tell everyone, went to the Italian restaurant Kristi owns with her family for pasta "and left with a wife." We live in Chester, Virginia with a little silver prince of a dog named Truffle and a calico menace named Meeko who is not afraid to share her many opinions. It feels like we can always use more time together, but as long as we're in each other's company, we're happy.
Super-early 2020, on our last pre-Covid vacation - we can't wait to do Disney again someday with a little one!
Why We Want to Adopt
Since slightly embarrassingly early on in the relationship, we have mused about the idea of having a child of our own someday. We always dreamed of being moms individually, but coming together has cemented our vision of parenthood into something that truly feels like destiny.
Being members of the LGBT+ community, we are both intimately familiar with the notion of choosing one's family and are so grateful for the bonds we have formed in our lives with our family and friends, even if they weren't the people we originally knew would end up alongside us. It feels completely fitting that we ourselves should find a way to create a warm, loving home for a child who needs one and show them that they are perfectly made, entirely loved, and brought exactly to where they are meant to be.

Why We Need Your Help
We are in the beginning stages of the adoption process, including completing a home study and working with an adoption agency to set up a profile for prospective birth mothers to be able to find us. These services alone cost thousands of dollars, and the total cost of a private adoption can be upwards of $50,000 - all of which has to be paid up front. We are ready to put all of our savings toward adopting a baby and are looking into adoption loans as well, but any help you as our family and friends can give to lighten this burden even a little bit would be such an incredible gift to us.
