On Wednesday, September 18 my Grandson Connor was diagnosed at Sick Kids with Sagittal Craniosynostosis. Despite being told that her concerns were unfounded thankfully Nicole pushed until she met with a pediatrician who not only acknowledged her concerns but referred her to a Neurosurgeon.
Connor will be facing surgery in the next 2-3 weeks and will be required to wear a helmet 23 hours a day for a year following his surgery. The cost of his initial helmet is $2,600 and he will need to have new helmets sized as he grows. The cost of subsequent helmets is $1,000. Nicole checked with her medical insurance through work and they only cover $300.00 towards that expense.
I've created this Go Fund Me with the hope of helping her toward the expenses she'll be facing. Connor is a very happy, loveable little boy and I will be forever grateful to have him in my life. He is fortunate that his Mommy was not complacent and did not accept what she was being told. She fought for him and I'm so proud and happy that she did.
