Vulnerable Veterans Project

Hi, My name is John Soltys and I have been working with vulnerable senior Veterans for over 5 years now. There are so many senior Veterans who have lived through some of the most horrific times in history, to end up alone and suffering. There comes a time in their lives when they are the ones who need protection. I meet heroes every day who are completely alone and who cannot afford the most basic care. They can't afford someone to help bathe them; dress them; cook a hot meal for them and keep them safe from harm.

I once met a Veteran who served in the famed 101st Airborne in World War II. He was the most humble, generous, kind, and happy man I had ever met. When I met this Veteran he was sleeping on a bare mattress with little money for care. He wanted to stay in his home and age with dignity. Who stands up for these brave men and women who risked their lives to protect our freedom.

Project Senior Care is partnering with local home care agencies throughout Southern California to help find and guide senior Veterans to their VA benefits to pay for care in the home. Project Senior Care and

our home care partners will be including a technology package that will monitor falls and the health of the Veteran when physical care is not present. This will alert families and doctors of any changes or emergencies. Combining physical care with our technology solution will give virtual 24-hour care. All of this care will be NO out-of-pocket money to veterans or their families.

The money we are trying to raise will help pay for the hardware needed for the in-home emergency system and to get the word out to every Senior Veteran in need of care. We will be able to help hundreds of senior Veterans and their families.

These brave men and women remind us of the grave costs of war and the sacrifice we ask of those who fight for us. This is a debt of gratitude we can never fully repay. We can come together now and help senior Veterans who are in desperate need of care and hope.
