Katie’s medical expenses

Hi, my name is Cindy. I am fundraising for Katie Cameron and her family. “On Sunday evening (August 6th) Katie was taken to the emergency room, due to symptoms thought to possibly be a virus. After several tests done at St. Francis ER, it was determined Katie would need to be transferred to Children’s ICU cardiac unit. With her heart only functioning at 28 percent, Katie is currently in heart failure. “The icu cardiac doctors believe her heart failure was caused from chemo she received at 18 months old. You probably are wondering the same thing as we are, why 17 years later? They don’t have the answers but it could have been happening slowly over time and we didn’t notice signs until it became an emergency. We are in the right place with the absolute best care team we could ever ask for.”

The Cameron family is now needing our help! Funds raised will be applied to Katie’s medical expenses accrued during her hospital stay. In addition to help with household expenses, so her parents can focus solely on getting their precious daughter healthy!

Katie’s mother states “So at the end of the day I thank God for our support system and for letting us keep our girl❤️ We will continue to fight for her as we have always done and leave the rest in God’s hands for what is next! We pray it means going home with a happy heart❤️”
