help nick get back on his feet!

as lots of you may know, my best friend and kimber pop up side kick, nick, has had a rough old time of late
nearly two years ago, he started to have some discomfort in his hip. after lots of him moaning, being bullied by me and multiple doctor appointments, it transpired he had a deteriorating condition in his joints. the condition is called avascular necrosis (AVN). the condition caused the blood supply to be cut off to both of his femurs, causing them to ‘die’
then, after lots of set backs, cancellations, and rescheduled appointments, he finally got a new hip! but, they also discovered the condition had spread to his other hip
fast forwards a few months, and he's back in hospital for a second hip replacement, with some light at the end of the tunnel!
both operations seemingly went well, but unfortunately, it's not all over. he's now having further complications just as he should have been getting back to some normality
the current issue is an infection at the site of the second hip replacement, leading to sepsis. this required a long stay in hospital on IV antibiotics to treat the infection and further surgical procedures to monitor infection levels in his prosthetic hip
he's also learnt he'll always have arthritis in his hip joints and will require further hip replacements in the future
the reason for the fundraiser, is to help him with his loss of earnings mainly. he's used all his holiday and what not to supplement his time off, but it's just not been enough. if i had the money, i'd give him it all, in return for future bowls of soup, but I'm not in a financial position to help.
this is where you come in. I know times are hard for all, but a few quid would go a really long way if enough of us can chip in! and of course a share of this funding page too!
nick's a lovely lovely bloke, with a bright and exciting future ahead, but just going through a rough patch. please help me to help him get back on his feet
