Brenda's Road to Recovery

Hi, my name is Elizabeth and I'm fundraising for my dearest friend Brenda. She is a single mom of two. She went in for a hysterectomy and woke up to doctors telling her they had to emergently remove her appendix as well (surprise surgery.) She was expected to make a full recovery.

However, a few days into recovery mode her body took a complete turn for the worst. Brenda's body went into septic, heart failure, kidney failure, 7 surgeries, being on a ventilator for three weeks, dialysis, wound vac, and relearning how to walk. She spent 65 days in the hospital and still has endured so much for one to bearer. To top it all, just when she thought she was out of the woods and on the road to recovery, the doctors tell her she has to have her fingertips removed on her dominant hand. By the grace of God, he did not forsake her nor leave her and that surgery went well. And she continues to be on the road to recovery again.

Just because she appears to be a warrior with a smile on her face does not mean that she does not need our help. She owes thousands in medical bills and disability insurance ran out. Therefore, no income coming in. She's still not released to go to work since she just had the surgery less than a week ago and still has lots of therapy sessions.
