Help Ruby fight Cancer.

For the past 8 weeks, my mom has had severe back and leg pain. She began seeing a chiropractor thinking that it was sciatica nerve pain but the pain in her lower body wasn't getting any better. After about 6 weeks of chiropractic care the Doctor ordered an MRI and that revealed lesions all over her pelvis, hips, and femurs. She was sent to Harrington Breast Center to get a mammogram and biopsies done on her Breasts. The biopsy results came back yesterday (March 25) and the diagnosis for the Breasts was Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. Mom still needs a full body PET scan and what we've found out in the Cancer World is that they don't love it when you don't have insurance.

My Mom and Dad have been paying for everything out of Pocket so far and all the tests and appointments have started to add up. What we are asking for instead of meals or flowers is donations. I know this is a straightforward ask but that's what she needs.

This week:

-Mom has an appointment on Thursday, March 28 to meet with an oncologist and hopefully set up a PET scan then.

-She is currently unable to walk and is in quite a bit of pain. She had to quit her job and so my parents lost that stream of income. We are hoping that the oncologist will allow her to have some pain meds to get some relief for the lower half of her body.
