Give Lupe a good life with the little time she has

At the beginning of November, my mom was told she has stage 4 cancer of the pancreas which spread to the liver with no cure. She was given maybe 1-2 years to live. It is news that I certainly was not ready to hear nor the rest of our family. News that we weren’t prepared to share when we found out and barely talk about. I know it has been an emotional roller coaster for my sister and me but even worse for my mom. This is the second time she has battled cancer. Every day that goes by, my mom’s body is going to waste and there’s nothing in the world we can do to make it stop.

We’re asking for help for several reasons. We want to financially support her as much as we can. We want to give her the best life with the little time she has with us. We want to allow her to take her out to places she wishes she had visited. But most importantly to start preparing for medical and funeral costs.

En principio de noviembre del año pasado los doctores le dijeron a mi mamá que tenía etapa cuatro de cáncer en el pancreas y se fue al higado sin cura y que a lo mejor tiene un año a las dos años para vivir. Son noticias que no nos esperamos y casi no hablamos sobre el tema. Fue una noticia difícil para mi hermana y yo, pero sobre todo a mi mamá. Es la segunda vez que batalla el cáncer. Y cada día que pasa es el cuerpo de mi mamá se va deteriorandose y no hay nada en el mundo que podemos hacer para pararlo.

Estamos pidiendo ayuda por varias razones. Porque la queremos ayudar económicamente. Le queremos dar la mejor vida en el poquito tiempo que tiene con nosotros. Y le queremos dar la oportunidad de llevarlo a lugares que ella quiera. Pero lo más importante para estar preparando por costos de funeral.
