Let's Help Charles

Charles devoted his life to his mother until she passed; he was made fun of and called a Mama's boy. His life passed by, and he never got married, and when his mother passed on, he just wanted to end his life. These were Charles' words when he shared his story with us at Union Square. A shy, timid, lonesome man saw my crew and me with a sign offering passer-bys an ear to listen. Charles came and asked if he could talk with us. He was so happy and excited, constantly telling us he loved us, the crew and all. He truly captured my heart not just with his story but also with his demeanor and gentle nature.

Charles's story captivated us when I posted our video; for his sacrifice for his Mother, Charles deserves a little something. He spends most of his time alone, reading or walking by the farmer's market. I wanted to stay in touch with him, but we discovered he didn't have a computer.

I was lucky enough to run into Charles again and connect with him; he wants to meet with me again for some tea and catch up. So I wanted to surprise him with new electronics like a laptop and phone.

So I ask with the power of the internet that you all come together and give us whatever you can to help Charles and us; it would mean the world.

I want to finally pay my camera crew, who have been working for free because they believed in me. I will be transparent from the start; we will take a portion of these funds, and the rest we will use to get Charles some new gear like a smartphone and Laptop computer. We don't make much from these videos as they deal with triggering content, so they would always get either demonetized, demoted or even removed. Without my crew and their help, I would have never been able to capture Charles and give him the platform in such a comfortable, professional setting, Charles himself also has said that he loves our crew. So I believe Charles would want that too.
