Medical expenses for Kristin Higgi

On June 15, 2014 Kristin had a life saving liver transplant surgery.  Her liver failed due to a disease called Autoimmune Hepatitis.  After her transplant she still struggles with the autoimmune issues and requires multiple stays and trips to Ochsner Hospital in New Orleans La on a monthly basis.  Funds raised will allow her to continue to make these trips and continue to receive the care she needs.  This is a lifetime adventure always in need of medication for rejection and possible blood transfusions.  Each of these trips require the usual expenses such as Hotel, gasoline, and food. Your generosity will be a blessing to our family and allow Kristin to get the help she constantly needs. 
Kristin is a fighter.  Every Monday she goes for bloodwork and is faced with the possibility of several changes to the medications she has to take.  This has taken a toll on her physically.  With your help she will be able to have a better future.  
Her goal and ours as a family is to be able to give back in some way.  We are extremely grateful for this gift of life given by the organ donor that saved our daughter's life.  Each day she looks forward to what God and her donor have given her.  A New Life!.  Now that her one year anniversary is approaching, I as her mother look back on where she has come from.  To being in the hospital most of this year, multiple trips to the hospital ER, being transported by ambulance in the middle of the night, countless procedures and too many more struggles to mention.   
We as  a family will continue to support her in every way, but your help will lighten our financial load.  But if you are not able to contribute we ask that you will keep her in your prayers.
