The Davis family needs your help!

Many of you in the community know Josh. A brother, a son, a friend, a teammate, an uncle, a coworker and so much more but most importantly a father of three and a husband.

8 years ago, Josh underwent open heart surgery and at his most recent check up got the horrible news, that he would need open heart surgery yet again to replace the failed valve, That he would never be able to play hockey again, when it’s been a part of him his whole life. This time around the news hit harder. This time he has a wife, Heather and three children Ava (8), Elsie (6), Joshie (4) that depend on him and love him endlessly. They were under the impression they would have a little while to figure things out, save and to be as prepared as possible for the surgery in the coming months- years. But Josh woke up Monday morning July 18th not feeling well, being his stubborn self and Heather convincing him to leave work to get seen he finally listened and went to AAMC. A blood pressure of 89/77, abnormal heart rhythms, chest pains, and shortness of breath all concerned the doctors. The surgery that was expected to happen in the future they were told was now happening within days. July 21st Josh was transported to John Hopkins cardiac ICU where he will be monitored until he undergoes surgery. Surgery is scheduled for Tuesday July 26th.

Those who know Heather and Josh know they would NEVER EVER ask for help. So that’s why we are asking for them. A family that helps the community, would do anything for anyone and always helps everyone when needed, now are the ones who need our help. Together I know we will be able to help them, and give them the support, and love they deserve. We hope to take the financial burden off of them!

With the medical bills coming in already and not stopping anytime soon, the drive to and from hospitals, therapy needed after surgery, both being out of work for an extended time, any donation will help. No amount is too little. And if you’re not able to donate, please share and keep the family in your prayers.

As a community, and a family we are in this together and want Heather and Josh to know they’re not alone in this as we know the next few days, weeks and months are going to be very difficult, challenging and scary.

At this time we will keep everyone posted as we know more, please refrain from reaching out to Heather and Josh at this time as we don’t want to bombard them and overwhelm them in an already stressful situation! But instead donate if you’re able, share, and pray for the family
