Prayers for Paxton
Donation protected
As many of you know, the Russo family is going through an unimaginable situation with their four year old Paxton who suffered a stroke this past weekend. With their permission, I've started this GoFundMe to assist in offsetting their travel expenses back and forth to CHOP in Philly as well as any medical expenses. Hopefully this will help take a tiny bit of stress off their shoulder so they can focus on healing their boy. Hold your kids close today and say a prayer for Paxton. Jen's facebook post is below -
The past 36 hours have hands down been the most terrifying of our lives. Our sweet, lively, loving Paxy suffered a stroke on Saturday. Thank god for my husband who acted immediately and gave our sweet boy the best possible fighting chance at recovering! Paxton was taken by medevac from St. Luke’s to CHOP as soon as they knew he was having a stroke. CHOP acted immediately without hesitation in prep for surgery to remove Paxtons blood clot. After their immediate CT scan prior to moving to surgery, we were able to discover that Paxtons body was able to break down the clot allowing blood flow back to his brain. However due to the lapse of time that blood flow & oxygen were blocked Paxtons brain was damaged. He has suffered the loss of movement in his right arm, his speech, and the use of his face on his right side, and we believe some vision on his right side. We have no answers as of yet, to why this has happened to our Baby Boy.
Please pray like crazy for our sweet sweet boy!! He has a long journey ahead of him but we know he will move mountains!
On a better note we did sneak a smile late afternoon, today from him and got some giggles out too.
Thank you to everyone who has reached out to support Joe, myself, and our family. We are so thankful to have all of you in our lives
