Tommy’s Journey
Donation protected
In March of this year, Tommy found out he had a non aggressive B Cell Lymphoma, later that month they successfully removed this mass and no further treatment was needed other than routine scans. Just a few months later in June, Tommy was still having shortness of breathe and did a follow up and early scan which found a new nodule in his lower lung, and small ones in his paratracheal lymph nodes, the dr at the time said these were pretty small let’s watch and recheck in 2 mths. During this 2 month window, Tommy continued to have worsening breathing, relying on rescue inhalers and maintenance medications to help get some relief. We also welcomed Ezrah Joseph Doyle in July, Hope had to have a C-section due to him being breech. Shortly after C-section Hope had 3 kidney stones and had to have a kidney surgery to remove one of the stones on the left side, she goes back in November to get the one in the right side taken care of. Tommy went back in Mid August to find that these nodules or masses had grown quite aggressively and needed to have a biopsy done to find out exactly what and how to treat, this was done late September and one week later met with Cancer center to find out now he has 3 areas where the B Cell is growing aggressively and needs to start an aggressive chemo treatment in beginning of October. Tommy will be very sick and will need to be off work for a minimum of 6mths and repeat scans at 3 mths to see if this treatment is working.
This new young family is undergoing a lot of challenges and stress. They could really use help with rent while he is off work, medical bills, transportation and daily needs until they can get back on their feet. Along with all the prayers and words of encouragement along the way. I will be also setting up meal train to try and help a couple days a week to take one less thing off there plate.
