Georgia on my Mind

This past weekend, my sister and brother-in-law embarked on an exciting adventure and a new chapter in their lives. After graduation, and many months of applying to jobs, my brother-in-law finally landed an awesome job!....in Atlanta GA. This made for a tough decision for the homegrown Coloradans. After a few weeks, the decision was finally made to leave all the family, friends, and opportunities, including a recent acceptance into CU grad school, and embark on this scary, yet exciting, journey. They packed as much of their lives as they could into a car and trailer and made the long drive to Atlanta.

They arrived the day before the lease with their new home started and opted to stay in a hotel. At 6:00am the front desk called to inform them that their car had been broken into. The thieves smashed out two windows and stole computers, a TV, cameras, gaming systems, and worst of all, priceless and personal wedding gifts. If you have moved away before, you know how hard it can be to start new lives, but even harder when you have to start from scratch. Our families can only help out so much, which is why I have created a GoFundMe to help them in their time of need.
