As you may know, our friend Traci Hart has had quite a few stressful weeks! A few weeks ago she went in for her annual routine exam when her doctor felt something in her uterus that she wanted to examine further. About a week later Traci went in for an ultrasound, blood work, and an MRI that were all "concerning" to the doctors. As a result, she was then sent to a gynecological oncologist who quickly scheduled her for a full hysterectomy.
On 11/13/17, Traci went in for the hysterectomy. Unfortunately the doctors were unable to proceed with the surgery because they found cancer.
Traci was officially diagnosed with Stage IIIC ovarian cancer that has spread to other internal organs. As you can imagine, this came as a total shock to her and her family. As a result, Traci started chemotherapy almost immediately on Thursday 11/16/17. Her current treatment plan calls for 4 cycles of chemo (each lasting 4 weeks) before surgery can take place and assuming all goes to plan.
This fund is being set up for the Hart family to help them pay for a small portion of the medical expenses they will incur throughout this process (doctor visits, treatments, surgery, chemo, etc.). If you feel inclined, please donate to help their family in this time of need.
