Update: Our hearts are heavy since Katie passed away suddenly on 3-15-19. Originally this fund was created to support Geoffrey and Katie for their initial travel South for medical appointments for a diagnosis and treatment. Sadly things took a turn for the worst and required Katie to be medically evacuated to Anchorage. It was known she had brain tumors but we didn’t know how aggressive this cancer was. The diagnosis of Glioblastoma came and she was on life support and then gone the following day. We’re thankful the kids were able to fly up on the next flight to say their final goodbyes to their mother.
Geoffrey and Katie only learned of these tumors the week prior. This is a shocking tragedy for our close family.
Katie is a mother to four children. Geoffrey and Katie have raised three teenagers together and Geoffrey will continue to care for Mikaila, Dominick and Jack on his own.
