Headed back to school!

Hello, my name is Dustin Ranck and I'm 55 years old, a retired tattoo artist of over 35yrs. and I am going after some new challenges by heading to college for the first time. I have already completed training in my state for Private Investigators and will be adding a Criminal Justice degree to my resume. I'm raising funds to help offset the cost of my degree program. Those things will include tuition, books, travel ( have workshops lined up that are pertinent to my degree as well as my PI interests ), and help me keep my focus on school while not being masssively in debt when I finish up. Additionally, I won't have to drag out the educational process longer than it needs to. The goal being ( reasonably ), that I can obtain my degree in three years time.
During my tattoo days, I had the pleasure and benefit of serving a large and diverse community. It taught me to communicate and share important information across all racial, economic, gender and social groups with the highest degree of respect and dignity. That one thing allowed me to hear people in a way that was not always communicated with words. It is something that I believe would be a great asset to my field of interest.
The purpose of my licensure and degree will be to develop a business that will serve to locate missing persons, assist in the resolution of unsolved homicides / cold cases and use my culture and sub-culture knowledge base to identify and target serial offenders.
It will also serve to add some credentialiing to my gaining additional contacts while working within the law enforcement, profiling and neighborhood communities.
Not all law enforcement agencies have the time, the man power or money to continually follow up on these types of events, regardless of how meaningful they are. Having private firms and individuals that are able to work with, and include law enforcement in all phases of information gathering and investigating, adds additional resources that might not be available to the families or loved ones who need answers.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and contribute ( if you can ). It is greatly appreciated!
