W4BAD 145.370 Repeater Repairs

The 145.370 amateur radio repeater owned and operated by Harold Finley W4BAD, and located in Durham NC, was recently targeted by vandals. The perpetrators were likely trying to steal the copper material in the antenna hardline, rendering the repeater inoperative. Replacement is estimated in the neighborhood of $3,300. As local amateur operators who use the W4BAD repeaters just about daily, we are hoping our members and friends will consider contributing to the repair fund to help restore communications to the Durham, Granville, and surrounding counties.
