as we all know, Sophie’s boyfriend is in the hospital. He played a huge part in supporting her financially. Her family can’t help much because they are low income as well. Here is a message she sent me in case people don’t know the details ..

“yes he is in a medically induced coma, for the pain and to keep him as still as possible. His L4-L5 disc in his spine practically exploded. They're waiting to do the spine surgery because he inhaled a peice of metal during the accident and it caused a lung infection so bad it spread to his blood stream, so he had to do a surgery to get part of his lung removed and drained (it went very well and he pulled through perfectly). Right now he's hooked up to this machine called "echmo" that acts as a lung and oxygenates his blood, hes also going to be 100% dependant on the ventilator while his lungs heal up. And once he heals from that, they'll be able to go in and fix his spine. Then they're going to wake him up after all that. So he's going to continue to be in a coma for the next couple of weeks.
