Support Shirley, A Beloved Falmouth Community Member in Need

Dear Friends and Community Members,

We are reaching out to you today to support a cherished member of the Falmouth community, Shirley, who has dedicated countless years to making our town a better place. Shirley is known by many for her tireless work as the manager and organizer at the Falmouth Sports Center and Tennis Club. In addition, she is involved with fundraising in the Falmouth community. She’s a mother, a recent grandmother, and an all-around kind soul who has always gone above and beyond to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Her kindness, work ethic, and generosity have touched the lives of so many in our community.

Unfortunately, Shirley’s life has been turned upside down recently. She was unexpectedly hospitalized and spent 16 long days in the ICU, intubated for 8 days, and was fighting for her life. She is presently home requiring oxygen and home healthcare visits. While we are incredibly grateful that she is now on the road to recovery, the medical bills from this critical care are overwhelming, exceeding $100,000.

As a community, we have the opportunity to rally together and show Shirley the same love and support she has always shown us. We know that Shirley’s dedication to others and her selflessness have made her a cornerstone of our town, and now it’s our turn to help her in her time of need.

We have set up this GoFundMe page to help alleviate the financial burden Shirley is facing. Any contribution, big or small, will make a world of difference in her recovery process and help ease the financial strain of her medical bills.
