Ryan T. Attryde of Newtown died Monday, Feb. 22, 2016. He was 16.
Born in Trenton, N.J., Ryan was a former Levittown resident before moving to Newtown 10 years ago.
Ryan was a junior at Holy Ghost Prep, and played on the baseball and crew teams. He attended St. Andrew Elementary School, and played Council Rock Little League and Babe Ruth Baseball, as well as CYO baseball, basketball and soccer. Ryan loved drawing and music and he was an avid gamer and computer whiz. He was a fan of the Philadelphia Sixers, Phillies and Liverpool FC.
Ryan was the beloved son of David Keith and Kristina Hofmeister Attryde; and adored brother of Michael and Ethan Attryde. He was the devoted grandson of Gillian and the late Keith Attryde and George and Helene Hofmeister Sr.; He also is survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

To raise awareness Mike Attryde and Matt Keim will be running in the Blue Cross Broad Street Run, a 10-mile run down Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA, 19121. The 37th annual Blue Cross Broad Street Run will be held on Sunday, May 1st, 2016, at 8:00am.
"When you walk in the Out of the Darkness Campus Walks, you join the effort with thousands of people to raise awareness and funds that allow AFSP to invest in new research, create educational programs, advocate for public policy, and support survivors of suicide loss.
As the leader in the fight against suicide, and thanks to walkers like you from cities across the country, AFSP has been able to set a goal to reduce the annual suicide rate by 20% by 2025" (AFSP).
