Sponsored walk for Women & Girls, Clackmannanshire

Hello there, I am walking with an inspiring volunteer group of Ladies doing a 16 mile sponsored walk on Sunday 30th January 2022... the group includes, Mary McLuskey, Rosalyn Watt Frew, Mary Banks, Dani Ovens, Louise Van Lierop, Kat Kojdecka, Kristy Settle and Meg Pinkerton... and more are signing up as we write this! 

Why fund us:
We are raising money for the mental health & wellbeing of women and girls of all ages who live in Clackmannanshire. The money raised will go towards the setting up and running of weekly creative activities within the Resonate Together community.

Why we know this is needed:

Since last summer, we have been running three workshops a week, all free of charge, enabling anyone to attend, men and women. We found that the challenges of the last few years pandemic has meant more and more women and girls are struggling with their own wellbeing... comments include "today is the first time I have laughed for 14 months"; and "I have become scared of people, but today, I have loved seeing new people, hearing their stories and it has been magical!"; and "the way you have crafted this workshop created trust from the word go, everyone has shared so much of their personal feelings and yet, we have all been having fun making art, its been wonderful".

Money for action:

We need the money now so our volunteers can all keep this much needed work going and we will continue throughout the year to raise funds, so this is the first of many gofundme pages!!

 

So if you can sponsor us today, all the monies will help our community help the women and girls to develop their own wellbeing and increase their resilience. We all benefit from knowing others do actually care.

For me: 

I personally meet so many women who are isolated and have, in their words, lost hope... please help me encourage everyone woman to take that first difficult step and find her own hope and to find and develop her own purpose in life through having creative fun in a supportive likeminded group  - I know, your sponsorship kindness and caring will change lives.
