Help Dance City Get to Las Vegas!

Hi, My name is Cierra Burnaugh, the Director of Dance City. We are a north Minneapolis-based competition dance studio that serves little black girls from the community. One of our goals for 2023 is to get to the StarPower Dance Competition in Las Vegas Nevada June 19th - 23rd. The Dance City dancers have worked so hard this season and to be able to touch down in Las Vegas and compete with the best of the best would be a dream. We have raised funds all season long to pay for dance attire, costumes, tuition, dance shoes and rhinestones to sparkle and shine on stage. The missing piece to our competition puzzle would be to showcase the hard work and talent of these brilliant dancers on the West coast. Our second goal for 2023 would be to be back in our own dance studio space. In 2020 we finally had a studio to call our own on West Broadway in North Minneapolis. We were there for a year but due to the increasing crime, it was no longer safe for us to practice. Creating a safe space for little black girls in their own community is a top priority for Dance City. Part of our mission is to provide exceptional dance technique, outstanding performance, and absolute professionalism. Our dancers should be able to do that in their neighborhood without the stress and distractions from the outside. The Dance City dancers work extremely hard every time they walk into the dance room. Their little brown eyes light up with every new move they are taught. Please help us get our own dance studio and help us get to Las Vegas to compete, win and bring home the gold!
