I am 35 & need a kidney transplant

I have Polycystic Kidney Disease. My grandmother had it, my mom had it, and now I have it. It is hereditary.  They have both past away.  There is nothing I could have done differently to prevent this from happening. I have a full time job and medical insurance, but the bills continue to roll in. I am not sure how much longer I will be able to continue working. I am single and live alone so there is no one to rely on. I am so scared of what is happening. I feel horrible everyday. On top of worrying about my health, I worry about how all these bills are going to get paid. I have never asked for anything in my life, but I am in a situation where I don't know what I am going to do. I need a transplant within the next year.  My brother is getting tested to see if he is a match.  I am responsible for covering the entire surgery for both of us and even if that works out, we will both be out of work for a minimum of 12 weeks with no pay.  I don't know how middle class people who live pay check to pay check can actually have a medical condition and not end up bankrupt or in foreclosure.  The system is not in place for people who work hard.  There is no assistance available for me according to all the doctors and hospitals I've talked to.  Insurance is a joke.   I get bills upon bills with no explanation and to doctors I've never seen or even heard of.  Can this be for real?  The amount you are still responsible for even with insurance is ridiculous.   I have already come over $4000 out of pocket this year alone, and this is just the beginning.   Every little bit helps and everything is greatly appreciated.
