Sara and her family

We are fundraising for Sara who is a 49 years young, mother of 2, who has dedicated her life to helping others through her work as a midwife. Unfortunately on September 10th, she was given some shocking news. Multiple tests and procedures have shown she has advanced, but treatable cancer in multiple locations of her upper gastrointestinal area, including her pancreas.

As you can imagine this has been an incredibly difficult few weeks for Sara, her family and friends. She has been able to eat very little and has become quite unwell, requiring hospitalisation. Chemotherapy is the next step in her treatment. The strength and courage Sara shows every day is inspiring but she will need our support as she faces ongoing life altering challenges.

We are hoping to reduce some of the stress and pressure especially coming into the Christmas season while Sara is going through treatment and is unable to work.
