Team Ana

 

 

 

We are raising money to support Dr. Ana Recinos-Baez and her husband Roldan through an exceedingly difficult time. Ana is a first-year resident physician in the Hofstra Emergency Medicine Program at Northwell Health in New York. She began her training with us in the Spring of 2019 and was diagnosed with breast cancer in October of the same year. She was intubated in Florida, where she remains in the Intensive Care Unit.

 

Ana is a vivacious, courageous, resilient person with an infectious smile and easy laugh. Though, she was with our program for a brief time, she has maintained strong friendships and has been deeply missed since her departure. She had anticipated returning to her career this upcoming Spring despite her grueling battle until her diagnosis unexpectedly progressed.

 

 

 

 

Ana is a young physician who had just finished medical school, full of promise and big dreams when her plans were changed for her. If you feel compelled by Ana's story, please donate to help us support her and her husband as they face mounting medical bills and leaves of absence in the middle of an already difficult and tumultuous time.
