Hi everyone, My name is Ishia. This is something I never thought I’d have to do. My family home caught on fire on Monday the 24th of February 2025. The fire damage has destroyed most of the downstairs of our home. The rest of the house has suffered a lot from smoke damage. Unfortunately we are unable to live in the house at the moment due to health and safety. A lot of our possessions have been destroyed. My mother is really heartbroken as some of them possessions cannot be replaced. It’s been a really stressful time for us as a family. My mother is disabled. She’s mainly in a wheelchair due to her Rheumatoid arthritis because of the severe swelling on both her ankles. She’s also due to have an operation on her back soon. On top of that she suffers from Mental Health. She has Bipolar Disorder, Personality Disorder, Anxiety and Depression. So at the moment this is really a hard time for her. As her daughter and also her carer I’m finding it really hard to help her through this difficult time as we will have to start again with the house. I’m hoping to raise some money to help put a smile on her face again to make our damaged house a home again
