Dennis Brown

My name is Mandy Brown Keeth and my dad, Dennis Brown, has been in the hospital for 2 weeks undergoing extensive testing to figure out what is cause of his muscle weakness/ loss is. We finally got a diagnosis for him yesterday. He has a motor neuron disease that is like ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease) but is slower moving than ALS. Not the news we had hoped or prayed for. We don't know what comes next or if he will go to a skilled nursing unit or come home. As you can imagine, this is really hard to go through. Unfortunately, Dennis does not have health insurance. We are having to ask for help since the medical expenses are overwhelming as well as all the equipment we will need for him for this awful disease. We are in desperate need for a motorized scooter and wheel chair ramp (for the house) since Dennis has lot all ability to stand or walk. He will need physical therapy and nursing care. We appreciate any help we can get. Dennis is ready to put up a fight and not let this disease take away what movement he has left.
