Who we are: TCSAR
Travis County Search & Rescue is a 100% volunteer First Responder Organization comprised
of highly-trained professionals who provide search & rescue services to government agencies
throughout the state of Texas in times of need.
All of our team members volunteer our time while supplying our own equipment and personal
transportation to serve our communities at our own physical, financial, and personal expense.
And we all love what we do.
Who she is: Meredith the wonder woman
Meredith is an incredible asset to our a team. As a member of our Special Operations Unit, her role is physically, technically, and financially demanding.
What happened:
All team members must undergo an annual physical assessment. As a Special Operations Member, Meredith must complete the most rigorous level of physical assessment. During October's assessment, Meredith experienced a medical emergency that caused her to collapse just before the finish line. Fortunately, our team has incredible medics, and she received the best possible medical care on-site. Her condition continued to decline and the decision was made to transport her to the nearest medical facility.
We are grateful to announce that Meredith has been cleared medically, and can return to serve the community. However, her collapse resulted in a two night hospital stay, and she is currently without medical coverage.
Why we are requesting support for her:
Unexpected medical emergencies can be financially crippling. Meredith has given so much to our community; we are requesting support from the community to give back to her. Please help us ease the burden of her medical expenses so she can continue serving the community she loves.
