Help fund my best friend, Bailey’s Chemotherapy

Hi everyone

As some of you already know, our 8 year old German Shepherd Bailey, our beautiful boy, has been diagnosed with B cell alimentary lymphoma. This devastating news came as a huge shock as his symptoms were fairly mild but ultimately he ended up having to undergo emergency surgery to remove a large mass from his small intestine 4 weeks ago which was starting to leak gas into his abdomen.

Although the mass was removed, it was tested and confirmed to be lymphoma and due to the nature of this cancer it means that it is likely to have spread already. This week Bailey began a 5 month course of chemotherapy to combat the spread which involves weekly injections to hopefully get him through this tough time. He’s already made it through emergency surgery and so far is responding really well to treatment but now his biggest battle begins.

Those of you that know and have met Bailey will know that he is the most sweetest, goofiest, loyal soul and my bestest friend in the whole wide world. He is my soul dog, the goodest boy and deserves the very best treatment.

Having lost my beautiful mum to cancer 3 years ago, I honestly don’t know where I would be without him being by my side and I could write paragraphs and paragraphs about how truly special he is but now it is our turn to help him through his biggest journey yet.

Sadly, with his emergency operation together with his ongoing treatment, his insurance limit is not nearly enough and his chemotherapy is of course not cheap.

Rather than simply ask for a donation for Bailey, I want to be able to offer a mini photoshoot of your beloved woofer with a high quality camera in return for your kind donation (if you live in or around Swindon). At least 5 digital photographs would be edited and sent to you so you can do with them what you like and treasure those special moments of your beloved family member(s). I am not a professional photographer but I love taking pictures and I am more than happy to send some examples of photographs I have done and that I take pride in, so you know what you can expect in return for your generosity.

Those of you that are reading our story but are either too far away or do not have pets of your own, but would still like to donate, Bailey’s sister, Zuzka and I, are going to be climbing Mount Snowdon to raise funds for Bailey too! This isn’t something I have ever done before but I also want to try and do my part for him in raising these extra funds for our special boy.
