Alex Cardenas

Dear friends, family, and community members.

You may know Alex, from his time with Peotone sports and being a leader in the class room at Peotone High School. He was an excellent athlete. Alex was a two time state qualifier in wrestling and a dominant starter for the Peotone football team. Alex was a beautiful and kind soul that you can always find smiling and making everyone in the room happy and laughing. Alex loved his family so much and was always there for his brothers and parents and loved going to family parties and making memories with all of his family and friends.

Unfortunately, Alex passed away recently on September 10th, 2023.

I have started a funeral fundraiser to help cover the cost of his funeral expenses. Our family was not prepared for the high cost of a funeral, and during this difficult time, we are reaching out to the community for help.

The fundraiser can be found here. Please consider donating if you can, as any amount will truly help. We need to raise $7,000 as soon as possible in order to cover the cost of the funeral service.
