Help our family be reunited again

Hi, I'm Laura, and my children you see right here along with that beautiful angel are Samuel and Sebastian, they are three of the most important people in my life. Sebastian is a bright 20 year old young man, who has been learning how to code on his own with youtube videos and is also learning how to play the guitar! he has taken in the great responsability of caring for his younger brother and my mother, an amazing woman, who after loosing it all at the hands of the local terrorist groups who constantly harassed her and destroyed her life as well, took on the role of main caregiver for samuel a 12 year old with Autism who had the hardest time understanding why was his mom leaving him and why life as he knew it ended for him. Life has tests us in the hardest ways, but all of us have made the best out of this terrible situations. I came to the US on August 22nd, 2016 after experiencing tremendous violence and imprisonment for two consecutive days at the hands of extremist groups that were funded and answer to the alies of Nicolas Maduro and his regime in my country of origin Venezuela, the terror and despair I experienced is not something I wish to ANYONE. Unfortunately that wasn’t the first time I was abducted and I knew it wouldn’t be the last one. My heart aches for the people who still to this day experience these traumatic events, men, women and children who are killed, exiled or denied of their freedom as part of political games played by people in power who only care for their own interests. But I made it out, thanks to Angels in the form of beautiful people who helped me escape, provided me with safe passage and refuge and provided my children and mom a place to be where they could wait for me to gather funds and legal protection so they could come over. I came to the US with $30 in my pocket, a room at an angels home and the desire and will of start over and provide for my mother, who stayed with them as I planned on saving money to be able to bring them over as soon as I could. After a few weeks I got my work permit and I started planning their arrival. I knew it would take me some time, but I was willing to make the effort because they’re my children and Mother and they are very much worthy of it. Unfortunately, life had other plans. In 2020 after several years of saving and carving my path here in the US, the pandemic started, and soon after that I was diagnosed with breast cancer, my hopes of seeing my children and Mother soon fell apart in front of me. I really believed I was going to die without hugging them one last time, the depression and the chemotherapy, radiation really almost killed me, several surgeries (radical bilateral mastectomy and oophorectomy) hospitalizations, and the struggles of the day to day life without them felt unbearable. But I made it back, and I'm here to start again, with the faith and hopes of seeing them again very soon! The department of Homeland Security has approved the family reunification request I applied for in 2018! These are the best news I have gotten in many years, no joke here. Now the REAL process starts, there's lots of paperwork and forms to fill, many fees and expenses we must take care of even before we can think about getting them into a plane, medical tests and evals for all three, airplane tickets and legal fees along with trip expenses I have to pay for them in Colombia and many other things that they must go through before hand, this is what your generous donations would be covering. Please consider helping us, your generosity would be helping build these young men futures and would give me and my family a chance to be together again. Thank you, god bless you and I pray and wish upon you all the health, love and happiness in the world, thank you, thank you, thank you.
Laura.
