WA Indigenous Basketball - Singapore Tour 2024

Hi my name is Zimmarley Williams-Wilson I am a local aboriginal teenage boy from the West Kimberley Region of Derby who has a passion for playing basketball because it runs through my blood and determination to chase after my goals and dreams of becoming the next big NBL Star.

Every day I work with young youth who are trying their hardest to make a difference in their life's weather it's going to school to get a better education or trying to stay out of trouble. In my hometown Derby in the West Kimberley Region, Basketball makes a big difference in the youth of today whether it is playing basketball or even watching others play basketball. The joy, the excitement, the intensity of the game gives everyone the adrenaline rush to play better, as we say in Derby ............ Deadly. Playing basketball for WA Sate Basketball or WA Indigenous Basketball is very important to me because I feel that I am making a big impact, change and a difference in the youth today as they see me as a young role model not only in my hometown of Derby but throughout the whole Kimberley Region.

The reason I am fundraising is because to pay for the cost of my travels, weather it is travelling by car, bus or plane,

in order for me to be selected in any basketball team, weather it is WA State Basketball or WA Indigenous Basketball I need to attend the trials and trainings sessions held in Perth.

The funds will be used for the cost of Travel (car, bus or plane), Accommodations (hotel, motel, budget rooms) somewhere it is safe and Food.
