Wachsmann Family Fundraiser

Update 8/18/23

My aunt Starla & uncle Todd have found a long term rental offer by a dear friend of there’s that they will move into this weekend! They have a few specific things that they are in need of immediately. I am updating that here for anyone who would like to contribute with tangible items from an Amazon list that will ship directly to their new address.

My name is Karon Zinsmeister and I’m Todd and Starla Wachsmann’s niece. On Friday evening August 11th, they lost their entire home tragically in a fire from a propane tank explosion while Todd was grilling dinner for the family. The fire spread very quickly and there was not enough time to save anything. The boys were in the house when the fire started and were able to make it out safely. Starla, Beau and Dean were not physically harmed in the fire. Todd sustained a few burns on his arm from the initial explosion and was treated at the nearby hospital for smoke inhalation. He is back with the family and recovering well. They have spent the weekend staying with neighbors while they figure out next steps and this go fund me is being created to help them have something to start out on while they recover and begin the process to rebuild. 

While we are so thankful no one was seriously hurt, we mourn for them the loss of their home and all of their precious belongings. We ask for your prayers as they move forward and thank you for donating. Any amount is a blessing! We will use this site to update about any specific needs moving forward.
