Wade Saint Ange Family

Donation protected
This campaign is to assist the Saint - Ange Family, in Abbotsford British Columbia.

I am a friend and an advocate for these young people.  I want them to know that they are precious and that there is a community here to help.

We are looking to raise enough money to sustain this family until the youngest has graduated. Our goal is $150,000.00, which is a minimal amount to sustain a family of five for three years.

This is their story:

Mary Moustache (Saint Ange) was the wonderful mother of
Kelsy (15), Wade (16), Chelsy(17)
and Nina, Ryan, & Nadine. (Early 20's).

The eldest brother Ryan Saint-Ange was murdered in 2012. The picture on this campaign, is of the children at their brother's grave. You can only imagine how this event impacted the family. This was when everything started to really change for them.

Less then a year ago, their mother, Mary Moustache (Saint-Ange), passed away unexpectedly.

Their father, a long haul truck driver, stepped in to make sure their needs were met financially.

Since the passing of their mother, the kids have managed to stay together, even though once their mother died, they had very little support.

On May 7, 2017, Tragedy struck again, and their father passed away, due to a medical condition, leaving the family orphaned.

The family lives in a rental unit, and most funds they received were from their fathers income. Now the family has very little resources,  The oldest children work at low income jobs and are planning to resume work. The eldest girls  are applying for legal gaurdianship of their three youngest siblings.

This is the plan:

This campaign is designed to raise enough money and resources to sustain the Saint Ange Family for the next three years.   Support for the remaining family to stay together will require basic living costs( rent, utilities & food), health care, education costs, transporation costs, clothing, personal hygien, pet care, birthdays, Christmases, and graduations .

All proceeds will be going to the family. Nina and I have set up joint account and I will be co-managing the funds with her.

My commitment to the family:

I will be helping Nina and Nadine learn  new parenting skills.  I will helping them budget, their time and resources. I will be helping them access and apply to the social service resources available to them.  I will be encouraging all of them to engage in counselling and healthy lifestyles. I will be there to advocate for them with the schools, social workers, medical professionals and in any other way that they require.

The community's commitment to the family:

To date, May 30, 2017,we have had a commitment from

Dr. Kelly Jordan in Vancouver  will be providing dental care to all 5 children for the next three years.  Her staff have treated the family with such care when they called to make appointments.

Sleep Country Canada
have supplied new beds for all 5 children including frames , matresses and boxsprings.  Each family member in turn has commented on what a difference a new bed makes. Much nicer  than sleeping on a matress on the floor.

Bed, Bath and Beyond have provided all of the bedding including pillows and other house hold items the family needs. Their rooms are looking comfy and each of the the family members have expressed how wonderful it is to have beautiful new things.

Aldergrove Animal Hospital  are providing veterenary care for Ambre and Peggy and on-going care and support for the family if needed. There are already appointments booked for the dogs to be cared for. Chelsy is our family pet caregiver and this gift made her extreemly happy.

Abbotsford Nissan  has come forward with a generous donation, employment oppertunities and car maintenance/repairs. Wade is really excited about this oppertunity as he has considered a career in mechanics.

Bruce Ramsay from Trauma Serve is now connected with the family to provide trauma support and crisis intervention. He truly is a God-sent, he has a wealth of knowledge information which the family are responding to in a very positive way.

Abbotsford Home Depot  has donated a lawnmower and some plants for Nadine's garden.  The garden is looking beautiful and brought relief to be able to finally mow the lawn.

Two Men and A Truck are supporting the family by picking up beautiful furniture from a varity of locations and delivering to the Saint Ange family home. They have also commited to continue to support the family. There may be a move in the near future with the recent chain of events.

Heidi at LH Imports and Allison Andrews
have really worked hard at getting this family beautiful things from several differnt suppliers so the Saint Ange home can feel like a sanctuary.

We need other corporate and family owned businesses to adopt this family.  Cash donations, vouchers for supplies... food, clothing, furniture,  school supplies etc. This is a family that has to face the world with out parents or any extended family close by.

Please join me in providing a hopeful future for Nadine, Nina, Chelsey, Wade and Kelsey.

Any amount you can afford to give will be so helpful.
