Wade Wilson Medical Fundraiser

Wade is 39 years old, married and has three children that are 17, 12 and 9. This past September, Wade and family got the news no one wants hear, Wade was diagnosed with cancer. In months previous, he took a hit from a foul ball to the left ear at his sons baseball practice. He truly believes that “God hit him upside the head” to catch his cancer in its early stage. Ongoing issues on his left side led him to multiple doctor appointments, which finally led him to an ENT, that gave him this life changing news!

Wade has tonsillar cancer on the left side with bilateral lymph node involvement. He began treatment this past October at Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Newnan, GA about an hour from home. His treatment would involve seven weeks of daily radiation and three high dose Cysplatin chemotherapy treatments. His doctors wanted to treat him as vigorously as possible to have every chance at beating this disease.

He has completed all treatments, but what a battle it has been! He’s down forty pounds and still unable to eat solid foods. This will come, it’s just a very long and painful process!

Those of you that know Wade, he is on the go all the time. He’s a hard worker, Mr. Fix It All, avid outdoorsman, plays guitar and helps coach his sons baseball team.
