Wade's kidney transplant

Amazing news everyone! The University of Minnesota had found a living donor to provide Wade with an organ transplant on July 25th! New kidney here we come!

As most of you know, Wade has been in kidney failure for 6 +years. He has been on the transplant list for 5 years and doing kidney dialysis 3x a week for 4 years.

Getting this amazing opportunity for a live kidney donation is a true miracle. And one we never thought we woukd be blessed with. But a bit daunting financially. Because of Wade's medical conditions, we have been a 1 income household since 2014.

We will need to spend 2-3 weeks in Minneapolis for the transplant and aftercare. We need to think about lodging, gas, food, time off work for Tiffany and Jeter being away from home for that long. Spending that much time in a hospital for a 9 year old will be a challenge.

We've also been forewarned that the cost of his anti rejection medications for at least the next year will be high even with insurance.

Family and friends have reached out asking how they can help. So we are starting this to give them the opportunity to help us navigate this exciting and a little scary time.
