UPDATE!!
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Kayla last night. Kayla was asleep surrounded by family and friends when she peacefully took her last breath. We want to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers. David and his family will continue to accept any support you are willing to donate to help with funeral costs and any other expenses involved in this tragic moment. Kayla's presence might be gone but she will continue to live in the heart of her kids, the strength and spirit of her husband and the memories we all share with her. Kayla you were a beautiful person and a kind soul we will continue to carry on your legacy!
The Iglesias family was a happy and joyous family. David Iglesias (36), a hard working husband devoted to providing for his family with the essential benifits and needs. Kayla Iglesias(Tarr) (33) an amazing wife and loving mother to a gorgeous, & caring 8 year old daughter(Sophia) as well as a strong and talented 6 year old son(Dominic).
The Iglesias family have been devastated and torn to shreds for the past few years as they've had to fight and change their entire lives while they learn to live with the immense hell that cancer can cause. The loving and happy home was hit with the terrifying news when they found out that Kayla had stage 4 breast cancer.
After months of countless chemo & radiation treatments as well as surgery to remove any traces of cancer, David and Kayla came to learn that the cancer was now spreading to her bones. Despite having terrible pain, nausea, and constant dizziness, kayla continued to fight this incredible demon. She didn't let that stop her from being such an amazing mom to Sophia and dominic. Kayla knew that no matter what, she had to keep a smile on the faces of these angels. So day in and day out she pushed through the pain and attended Sophia and Dominic's karate classes & tournaments, school functions, family events, holidays and more. She continued to make her kids favorite meals and build memories for her family. She kept her spirits high and her will strong, not allowing the cancer to consume her life with negativity.
But as she continues to fight, her condition is getting worse. Kayla has now been getting weaker with only a couple years after being diagnosed. She was recently told that her cancer has now spread again and this time to her liver with very little to no chance of survival. Kayla has more bad days then good now. Most days she is not able to get out of bed or keep any food down, especially with the inability to afford the very expensive medicine that was helping keep kaylas symptons under control. The typical routine in the Iglesias household has been disrupted for months now as David struggles to hold the home together by taking care of 2 young children, a sick wife, and juggle going to work on days he's not making emergency hospital visits. With all the chaos that David has been faced with, he has now been forced to take time off from his job to be able to take care of his family but more importantly to be able to be with his wife in her last possible moments.
Now with no income and an imminent devastation the Iglesias family needs as much help as they can get to be able to afford the medicine Kayla needs to possibly extend the time she needs to make new memories and leave a legacy behind. So if you can find it in your hearts to donate anything to help this incredible family, they will be eternally grateful.
