WE ARE
WAFFLING ON!!!!
"One of the marvelous things about community is that it enables us to welcome and help people in a way we couldn't as individuals. When we pool our strength and share the work and responsibility, we can welcome many people, even those in deep distress, and perhaps help them find self-confidence and inner healing."

I am at a loss for words. What an incredible journey life is. I can't believe we pulled this off! Saying "thank you" doesn't seem enough to express the intense feeling of gratitude I have in this moment. Part of me feels as though I somehow don't deserve this. Beyond saving Wannawaf and having an opportunity to pay this experience forward in the future, I feel like I just witnessed a small miracle. A miracle, that happens every day when groups of people come together in kindness to support a common cause.
To be on the receiving end of that phenomenon is an unbelievable gift. It's easy to become discouraged and feel helpless by watching the news or reading hateful comments on the web. But beautiful examples are all around us of the power we have as individuals to influence positive change and that strength grows exponentially when we come together as a community, real or virtual, in support of a singular cause. I know Wannawaf is just a small, seasonal waffle shop in a little coastal town and it might be silly to be so philosophical about all this. But I'd like to think, at its' core, Wannawaf is about building relationships and creating connections that impact people's lives for good. Even if that good is just a happy summer memory or a lifelong friendship made; we're doing our part to spread the love and because of your support WE ARE WAFFLING ON!! HOOORAAYYYYY!
