Wagatwe's Giant Group Birthday Gift

My good friend Wagatwe has her birthday coming up on November 18th, and we’re going to give her a huge birthday gift. She lost her job and needs to replace at least half that income — which means we’re gonna give her at least $5,000 all together — so she can focus on her amazing anti-rape activism that we need so much right now. I love her as a friend and I also deeply believe in her commitment survivor-led activism to dismantle rape culture. I am so grateful for the ways in which Wagatwe supports the strengths of sexual violence survivors and brings tremendous joy, insight, and experience to social justice work.
