-This is something that I am not comfortable with, but things happen that is out of our reach and sometimes our ego needs to be step aside.
-The big heartbreaking news from our family is that my fiance, Kevin has a cancerous mass outside of his right lung.
-Our 2019 summer ended great with our big vacation to Boston, but as soon as we came back, things began to crumble. I convinced Kevin to visit the Dr after his ongoing cough of three months was starting to get worst and worst.
-It's all a blur now starting with Kevin needing an x-ray to needed a CT-scan, to needing to visit a specialist, back and forth to Dr's visits and phone calls after phone calls. Patiently waiting for someone to tell us what is wrong, what do we need to do, why is it taking so long to get answers?!
- Fast forward to now. We have started Kevin's first round of chemotherapy, which still seems so surreal. We also ended up in the ICU because that right lung was being compromised by the mass and his lung was full of fluid and near to collapsing. Kevin is also scheduled for his second round of chemotherapy very soon.
-We were not expecting ANY of this to happen but here we are fighting and pushing and doing our best to beat this SOB that is called cancer that has taken our family as victim.
-This is going to be a long road of healing and treatment for Kevin. Kevin is not able to work, I work part time and am almost finished with school. I know everyone has their own unexpected circumstances, but any little amount will be greatly appreciated.
With out the support of our family and friends, I honestly do not know where we would be. Everyone who has reach out to us and sent your good thoughts, prayers and your support.
I truly thank you.
It means the world to us to know we are not alone in this.
We mean it from the bottom of our hearts..
