Dear Friends,

I hate imposing, but I’m desperate.

For 18 months now I’ve been waiting for approval from a Federal disability income program for those unable to work due to a disability (SSDI). Normally 6 months ago I would have been approved, but due to the Pandemic they are backlogged.

My health is awful - 5 herniated disks, back arthritis (there’s no more cartilage and brittle bones), & diabetes Type 2. Currently I’m on 7 meds including insulin, blood pressure, cholesterol, & blood thinner.

Keeping a roof over my head and affording meds will soon be impossible. As I wait for approval this $7000 will cover at least 4 months of my Rent, Meds, ConEd bills, Laundry & Food.
