Waiting on disability and falling behind

hi I’m teralind and I’m raising funds for my sweet friend Lisa and her husband. I really identify with their story as I also have several health and cognitive issues. Here’s their story.

Jeff and Lisa both have physical limitations, but things have gotten worse for Jeff. Jeff has a neurological condition called Chiari Malformation, which is a malformation of the brain stem. He has several other conditions that go along with that such as syringomyelia and hydrocephalus. He has had 7 brain surgeries. And with all of this, he has a migraine class headache 24/7. He has never let this stop him from working and providing for his family.

His condition has been progressing over the last few years, causing his dexterity and his gait to worsen. As a result he started falling more and it became more difficult to work. At the end of last year he began finding it more and more difficult to concentrate and through a series of events he was hospitalized a couple of times and they discovered he has developed Congestive Heart Failure. Jeff is no longer able to work and is fighting to get disability.

Lisa has Fibromyalgia and other health issues and is working as many hours as she can and still help take care of Jeff.

With the loss of income, they have fallen behind on bills and are desperately trying to get their belongings out of storage and keep their car so that Lisa can work.
